21 June 1886 — Syltebo, Romsdalsfjord
Monday. 21st June [1886]. Stayed in bed all the morning. Got up about 12. Post came in & brought me a letter from Blanche & 2 newspapers. There was no letter about Mrs Edgar’s death yet– I hoed the path till dinner time in order to get warm. In the eveng Edgar & I went sea fishing but caught nothing till 10 when the scythe began to take so tremendously that we could not tear ourselves away & only got home at 12. We found Fred & Henry rather anxious as we were so late. Henry had a shivering fit in the night & alarmed me. We caught 19 sei this night & weighing in all 60 lbs.
