7 October 1886 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 7th [October 1886]. Gallery till lunch– Mr Brown came to lunch. At 3 Mrs Burr came & took me in her gondola while Isabel went with our party. Mrs B & I went to leave some cards & then joined the others at the Edens’ garden. Wrote letters before dinner. We brought Isabel home with us & she dined here & went to the Rossini Theatre to see an operetta with Henry & the Colnaghis. I sat upstairs & worked until 12 when they returned home. | |
