9 January 1887 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 9th [January 1887]. We had prayers at the Grand Hotel read by Mr Bosanquet. Mr Peabody Russell had arranged it all for us & had a room warmed & there were 18 people. Mr Russell took several [of] us into his sitting room afterwards. I did not go out any more. Had a quiet day & only made Henry some cigarettes. | |
