5 February 1887 — Paris | |
Saturday. 5th February [1887]. Lovely day; took a walk with Henry & shopped. After lunch Henry & I went to call on Mr Atlee at his office & then left cards; came in early. Lord Lyons came to call & sat some time. Dacre lunched with us. We dined at the Embassy & met Lady Doneraile whose husband is now under Dr Pasteur’s treatment having been bit by a mad fox. Met also Mr Wynn Finch & Mr Oliphant who took me in to dinner. Met Mr Eliot (Sir Henry’s son) for the first time since Consple when he was secy there & his wife née Ford. | |
