15 March 1887 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Tuesday. 15th March [1887]. It was snowing when I woke & had snowed a good deal in the night, there was also a fog & by 9 it grew pitch dark & remained so till lunch time so that we had to have lamps as tho’ it were night– I had a guitar lesson. Mr Hambro came to lunch & Henry took him to the House when he drove out at 3. I did not go out at all. Mr Thomson Hankey came to call—also Maria. Henry dined at the Club. Mr Hambro came & dined with me. Played patience. Henry came home early & Mr Hambro left early to go to the House. It snowed all day till abt 9 P.M. Very cold.
