25 May 1887 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 25th May [1887]. Index before breakfast. Marchesa Gavotti, Pss Oesterreicher, Miss Lewin called after luncheon. I went to see Ersilia & met Pss Dolgorouky there & then went to fetch Henry & Nela at the Stabto & went to the Edens’ garden. At 6 I took Ola & Nela to the Vendramin palace to see the Dss della Grazie & play lawn tennis. They play in a little kitchen garden behind the palace. There were several people there viz. Mrs Bronson, the Metternichs &c &c Mr Brown & Mr Malcolm dined with us. | |
