7 July 1887 — Bâle | |
Thursday. 7th [July 1887]. Left Bâle abt 9 & went to Mayence where we arrived abt 3.30. We went to the Hotel d’Angleterre & then drove out to the cathedral. We went to see the lovely cloisters which are kept locked. Happily we met the woman who had the keys. Took a little turn round the town & back to the hotel. Dined at 7 downstairs. Henry took Ola to hear a concert in a hall close by. Nela & I sat at home, worked & talked. | |
