20 November 1887 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Sunday. 20th [November 1887]. Kate & Cecil went to 8.30 service. Mama & I went at 10.30. I played the harmonium. We were home by 12 & Kate & Cecil went to St Mark’s to hear the Te Deum for the Queen of Italy’s birthday & returned home at 12.30. Sr Felice came to see what I had done & to give advice about Kate’s bust. K & C & I went to 3 oclock service & I played the harmonium. Coming home I stopped to call on Mme d’Adda. Found Ninina is going on swell tho’ she had been gravely ill the first two days after her baby was born. Adl Canevaro & Mrs Eden came to tea & to bid adieu to Mama & Kate. Mr Malcolm & Mr Brown dined with us.
