22 November 1887 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 22nd [November 1887]. Wrote letters & copied Cortelazzo’s M.S. in the morning. After lunch Henry & I took a long walk round by the station to the Zattere by the tre ponti to the Brown’s house to leave a note. Met Mrs Eden on the Zattere. At the Stabto Venezia e Murano we met the gondola & came home. We found Cortelazzo arrived to stay with us that he might go on writing his memoirs. Miss Nina Hammond came to tea—later Vict & Victss Soveral & Mlle Soveral, Mme Mimaut & a friend called. Dined upstairs. Patience. | |
