25 November 1887 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 25th November [1887]. Worked the whole morning at Kate’s bust till lunch. It was a foggy day & I did not go out but in the afternoon read & wrote. Henry & Cortelazzo went out together. Mme Stefani & her daughter came to make my acquaintance. She is English née Marker & says she is related to the Aldersons & her brother married Lord Digby’s daughter– Patience after dinner. | |
