27 November 1887 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Sunday. 27th [November 1887]. Our servant Regina had a son born this morng after 11 years marriage. I went to 10.30 service & played the harmonium. Home by 12. At 2 I went to see Css Brandolin for the first time since her confinement wh is abt 10 days. At ¼ 3 I went on to Grand Hotel & played the harmonium at the service. There was a fog all the morng but it cleared after 12 & when I went in to service it was splendid sunshine. When I came out at 4 thick fog again. I went to the Piazza, fetched Henry & came home. Had tea in the studio. Patience.
