2 January 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 2nd January [1888]. I went to Zerazzi’s studio & had lesson. Painted head of a gondolier. Home at 12. Washed my hair in Ola’s room & read aloud to her till lunch. Ola & Raymond walked with Henry. I went to pay some visits & met them at 4 on the Piazza & then Ola & I went to tea at Miss Jesse Moore’s. Wrote letters. Mr Marzials called, but would not stay to dinner. I had a reception in the evening & a good many people came. | |
