Monday. 9th [January 1888]. I woke with a horrible headache & was so ill I had to go back to bed & hardly thought I could have recd in the evening—but at 8.30 I managed to drag myself out of bed & dress & go down. The first to arrive was Lady Galway. A good many people came & there was dancing till 1.30. | |
