15 January 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 15th [January 1888]. Went to morning service at the Grand Hotel & again in afternoon when I played the harmonium for Mrs Menzies who was absent. Ola & I went to pay a visit of ceremony to Css Giustinian. A solemn affair as it was her “day” & we all sat round in a circle. Then we fetched Lady Galway & took her home to tea with us & kept her to dinner. Mme Hurtado & Idita came to tea also. | |
