Monday. 6th [February 1888]. Henry better. I went for a walk with Lady Bagot & Lady Evelyn Campbell in the morning returning rather late for lunch. Took tea with Lady Maxwell & met the Selbornes there. Lady Sophia had a sore throat so I went up to her room to propose we should not keep our engagement to spend the eveng with her—& so we settled it. | |
