21 February 1888 — Naples | |
Tuesday. 21st February [1888]. Henry & Ola went to the Museum. I remained at home. There are very alarming & contradictory news of the Cn Prince in the Neapolitan Papers. After lunch Mrs Eden called & she took Ola out shopping. Henry & I walked to call on Pss Cariati before 3 & found her at home– We then went down to Sa Lucia & went to the bankers for money & shelter from the pouring rain. We walked to the Etranger to call on Sir C. Newton & then took a cab to our hotel. Henry & I played patience till dinner at 8. We dined at a small table & Mr Newdigate joined us & came & sat in our room in the evening. | |
