23 February 1888 — Naples | |
Thursday. 23rd February [1888]. Another bad day & no going to Pompei. Ola in bed with a headache. M. de Montfort came to call also Mme de Galetti (née Collyer). Mrs Eden came directly after lunch & Henry & I went out with her but were soon caught by the rain & had to come back in a cab. Wrote letters. Visit from Princess d’Abro abt 6. We dined at 8 & played patience after. Ola was better in the eveng. News of the Cn Prince better again—but still alarming. | |
