Tuesday. 6th March [1888]. Cini came at 11 & was very well satisfied with Ola’s progress. Says today is 15th day & hopes the fever will now lessen daily & disappear at the end of 21 days. Mr Brown came to see us. He was suffering with stiff neck. After lunch Henry & I went out in gondola to the Edens’ garden, walked about there & brought home some violets & pots of primulas. Mrs DuGué, Mr Jameson & Miss Fearon & Lady Galway came to tea. Marzials came at abt 7 to call & we made him stay to dinner.
