8 March 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 8th March [1888]. Ola doing very well & very little fever. I had rather a headache & did not do much all day. Henry went out after lunch. I practised guitar & sat in my bedroom till T when Maria Cozzi came & stayed some time. Mr Malcolm dined with us & we sat in the library. The news of the Emperor of Germany is bad. He is evidently getting weak & dying. | |
