7 April 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 7th [April 1888]. Dr Cini came & pronounced Ola able to leave here at the end of next week so we settle to start next Saty. She went out with Alice in gondola. After lunch I went to the Stabto V & M to meet Lord Selborne & Lady S. & she paid Miss Fearon a visit & then we went to the garden at the Carmine where our tennis ground is, to see it & then home. The Bishop & Mrs Sandford & Mr Malcolm dined with us & we had an English party for them in the evening. | |
