Friday. 11th May [1888]. Mrs Burr came & sat with me in the morng. Alice called. I tried to have my four sisters to lunch. They all came but Constance. Capt. & Mrs Bagot, Mrs Henry Doyle came to lunch. Henry lunched at 1 & went to the Levée & came back while we were still at lunch. Kate drove out with me. We paid visits to Mrs Burr & Lady Lindsay (Coutts) & found both in. The latter is in a house in Stratton Street for the season. We went to see Mama & walked home. Henry & I dined with Sir Arthur & Lady Otway 34 Eaton Square & met Browning and Adl Tennyson d’Eyncourt took me down to dinner. Mrs Burr was there but we did not make out any one else.
