31 August 1888 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Friday. 31st August [1888]. Raymond Layard came to see me in the morng & we walked out together & shopped & returned to luncheon. We found Annie Murray at the door & she came in to lunch with us. I walked out for another errand & abt 4 Henry & I went off to the Paddington Station & met Richard & went by the 4.50 train to stay with the Du Canes at Brightwell House. We had to change at Prince’s Risboro & we reached Wallingford Station abt 7. Nela met us. We dined at 8. | |
