7 September 1888 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Friday. 7th [September 1888]. We left London by 11.40 train from Paddington & going via Bristol & the Severn Tunnel reached Llantrisant about 6. Maria & Nela accompanied us & we went to Taly Garn to stay with Mr Clark & his daughter Blanche. We dined at 8 & went early to bed. Found a young Mr Melville staying there—a very namby pamby young man to whom we all without rhyme or reason took a dislike. | |
