4 October 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 4th October [1888]. Ola & I arranged the drawing rooms & made our long hall into a sitting room. Mrs Burr who is staying at the Pension Suisse came to see me in the morning & dined with us in the evening. After lunch all our party went out & I remained at home & wrote letters. Henry took all our party, Ld Aberdare & Nela to the Edens. Mrs Burr & I went together in her gondola & I left her at the Edens & went on myself to the Bronsons where Ola & Lena were dining. There was a small evening party there. I took the girls on afterwards to the Edens & we all went home. | |
