5 October 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 5th October [1888]. Ola & I arranged the rooms. Henry & I went together to some of the antiquaries to search for a new sofa for the drawing room but without success. However at Rietti’s we saw some very pretty gilt stands for lamps & bought 2 besides a pack of cards for my mother. We dined at 6.30 & Mr Malcolm with us. Then they all but Ola went to the theatre & I went to bed. | |
