25 October 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 25th October [1888]. Painted till 12. Sr Felicio came this morning to get Bastianini’s bust of Marsilio Ficino put in order. Edith Bronson came to play the guitar with me & stayed to lunch after which she & I walked to the Zattere, took the traghetti & went across to the Eden’s garden & got a lot of flowers. I came home to tea. Marzials came to tea & we kept him to dinner. Henry took Miss de Bunsen & the Du Cane girls to the theatre. I stayed at home. Marzials was amusing in the course of the evening he asked for a glass of water that he might take his drops of chlorydine wh he as always takes far too often– | |
