7 November 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 7th November [1888]. Painted till 12 when Countess Brandolin came from the country to spend the day. Her husband joined us at lunch & they went out together. I remained at home. Mr Ralph Curtis & Ct Garbardi came to tea. When Ninina came in she was so wet & tired (it rained hard) that I took her up to the studio, put her into a dressing gown & gave her tea there as she rested on the divan. Mrs Burr & the Brandolins dined with us– I played the harmonium. | |
