10 December 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 10th [December 1888]. Up early. Edith came & played the guitar & remained to lunch. At ¼ to 2 Mr Eden came in the launch to fetch us & took us out for a giro. Henry & I, Edith & Nela came. Ola went to play lawn tennis. It was a splendid day & we went outside the Lido where the air was delicious tho’ cold. Rested & had tea in the studio. Mr Eden & Mr Brown dined with us & afterwards Ola played the piano till abt 9 & few people came. We had not very many this Monday. | |
