12 December 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 12th [December 1888]. Up as usual & better. Spent the morng making Pasquale clean the room to receive Marzials new piano. Copied letters. Did not go out. In the evening at 5 the Pss of Montenegro came to tea & stayed a long time chatting while her daughter played piano with Ola. The C. Pembertons also came to T. Marzials turned up to explain why the piano had not come. He played many little bits of his own composition & was very interesting & we had to turn him out at 11.30. | |
