13 December 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 13th [December 1888]. I painted in the morning till 12. The new Piano came. The girls went at 10 to play lawn tennis. Copied letters. After lunch Henry & I went out. We went to Pal. Loredan in the Campo S. Stefano to see the various designs for the Monument to Paolo Sarpi. Michieli’s pleased me most. Walked on to Piazza & joined the gondola & came home soon after 5 & the girls then went to tea with Mrs Brown– Ersilia, Maria & Bss Mayneri came to tea. | |
