23 December 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 23rd December [1888]. Went to church in the morning with the 2 girls & thence to Hotel d’Angleterre to see Mrs Browning whom I found in bed & very glad of a visit. Home by lunch time I went to the afternoon service & the others went to Piazza to show Dora. Lady Galway was to have come to dinner but as it rained hard most of the day she put off coming. | |
