Ola went out in the morning to walk on the Lido with Mrs Pen Browning & after lunch Henry took the girls again as it was so fine & they went in the gondola– Mrs G. Howe came to see me & then Mme Rombo & at 4 I went for a walk as far as Mr Eden’s & found him at home—& then home by the traghetto by 5. Olga Montenegro came to tea with us. Henry, Nela & I dined with Baron & Bss Andrian at the Casa Alleman. We met Baron Warsberg, Ct Gabardi, M. Mozzi & some Germans. We had all the delicacies possible for dinner, excellent wines & were most hospitably entertained; a few people dropped in in the evening & there was a rubber of whist.
