10 January 1889 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 10th January [1889]. It was a pouring wet day. In the morng Ola sat to me & I modelled. None of us went out & Henry & the girls had to take their exercise walking up & down the long hall till they had been a mile. I wrote letters till tea. Css Papadopoli came to tea & also the Childe Pembertons. We dined at 7 & Henry took the girls to the Rossini to see La Traviata. I wrote letters all the evening. | |
