11 January 1889 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Friday. 11th January [1889]. After breakfast Ola sat to me for her bust & then had a music lesson of Trombini & he remained to lunch with us. Our attempt to get up Trios for this evening failed as Sr Tirendelli had rehearsal at the Fenice. It was windy day. I did not go out but copied Disraeli’s letters. Henry took the girls out. Css Morosini came to T & brought Mme & Mlle Centurione to introduce to me. Marzials dined with us. I tried to get up a meeting of the mandolin & guitar band but no one came on account of the high wind.
