13 January 1889 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 13th January [1889]. I went to church with the girls. Mr Brown called on us directly after lunch & he walked with me to the door of the church for afternoon service. The girls went out with Henry. After service I waited for Mr Jameson & he walked home with me & stayed to tea. Mme Noce also came & brought the Duke Strozzi to make our acquaintance. Mme Persico also came. Dined quietly alone. | |
