24 January 1889 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 24th [January 1889]. Nela painted in the studio while I wrote letters. It was a fine day but rather windy. I did not go out but painted after lunch till tea time. The Dss della Grazia came & later Miss Lawley & Miss Carden. Henry took the girls to the theatre. I spent the evening copying out Disraeli’s letters to the Austens & finished them. | |
