28 January 1889 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 28th January [1889]. Ola gave me a good long sitting in the morng for her bust. Carry came & took me for a walk & then I went to see Mr Eden with her—& afterwards went to the Grand Hotel to have tea with Miss Lawley & Miss Carden– The gondola fetched me home. We had our dance which was very successful in spite of D. Carlos opposition dance. Mme Pandolfi & her 2 girls were came on from there. They danced till 2. | |
