28 July 1889 — Basle | |
Sunday. 28th [July 1889]. Reached Basle at 7 A.M. & breakfasted there. Dacre Du Cane met us there from Paris. Here we also parted from Nelly who went on to Geneva by herself. We got to Lucerne abt 9.30 & went to H. National. We had to wait for our rooms till 12 as they were not ready for us—& in the meanwhile we breakfasted– Then we lay down for a couple of hours. I & Nela had a room together. Henry & Ola got rooms to themselves & Dacre also. Dined at table d’hôte at 7.30. | |
