23 October 1889 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 23rd October [1889]. Donna Laura Minghetti & Signor Morelli left us by 9 o’ck train. I remained in bed till lunch time. We had a fine day at last & it was a joy to see the sun. Henry took Ola & Nela in gondola to Lido. I walked to the Rezzonico but Mrs Browning was not well eno’ to see me so I came straight back & sat with Eda working. Canevaro came to tea. | |
