7 November 1889 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 7th [November 1889]. Desideri came to give us his first lesson in painting & we began a portrait of Eda– At 12 I began to model till lunch. It being a lovely day we started off directly after lunch to go & walk on the Lido where it was quite beautiful. Henry sat on the beach while the girls & I went along the shore & we came back by the lanes—it was dark by the time we got home. Read aloud & patience. | |
