16 November 1889 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 16th November [1889]. Up at 7, practised guitar. Desideri came & we painted until 12. Copied for Henry. At 3 went to the Choir practise & walked home calling on Mrs Browning who was in bed & I sat with her a little while. Home to T & read aloud to Henry some studies of VCt de Vogué on Le fils de Pierre LeGrand– Henry took the girls to the Rossini to hear “Carmen.” Sir Fred & I remained at home & went early to bed. | |
