28 November 1889 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 28th November [1889]. I remained in bed till 11. The girls rowed a sandolo race & lost it against Miss Barclay & Mr Giles who are staying at Pal. Rezzonico with the Brownings. Edith Bronson came abt 12 & we played guitar duets together & again after luncheon—as I did not go out. Had tea in the studio & read aloud to Henry till dinner. Played harmonium & gave a lesson to Eda in writing after dinner. | |
