5 December 1889 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 5th December [1889]. Had a cold & did not go out. It turned very cold today. Painted all the morning. Read aloud to Henry. Olga Mocenigo & Edith Bronson dined with us & Henry took them & Ola & Katie Colnaghi to see “Carmen.” I sat in Eda’s room with her & Nela & we worked at dressmaking & I went early to bed & had hot lemonade. | |
