22 December 1889 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 22nd [December 1889]. I went to morning service with the girls & then set to work to write my Christmas letters. I wrote till 5 just stopping for lunch & got 13 letters done. Read aloud to Henry between lunch & dinner at 7.30. Patience. | |
