Friday. 3rd January [1890]. Edith Bronson came & we played guitar duetts together from 12 till lunch– Went out in gondola with Henry & paid some visits, found Bss Mayneri at home & there met Mme Kraus wife of the new Consul for Austria– Received at 5. Mme Mimaut brought M & Mme Kraus to be introduced. Seem nice people. Countess Pandolfi & her daughter also came. Read aloud to Henry. Played guitar to Ola & Eda’s mandolas all evening. Rain. | |
