29 January 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 29th January [1890]. Wrote all the morning. The 3 girls went to help Mrs Brown over her tea party. I went to call on M. & Mme Revel & then joined them & brought them home. Mr Brown & Mr Malcolm dined with us. Bessie the scullery maid was taken ill with fever. After dinner we played our mandola & guitar trios. | |
