15 March 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 15th March [1890]. Telegram from the Bishop to say he was not well & would not come till Monday so I had to write to put off our party for him till Tuesday. Eda & I went thro’ my wardrobe & unpicked old gowns. After luncheon I went to the station to meet Css Pisani & Lotta who at last arrived and I brought them home & gave them tea & then took them to their house & helped them to arrange their flowers & helped Lotta to arrange her dress for Css Papadopoli’s ball tonight. Came home at 6 & dressed for dinner. Css Pisani & Lotta came to dinner & then she left early & I took the 4 girls to the ball wh was very grand. I returned home at 1.30, Ola & Lotta at 3 & Eda & Nola at 7 AM! | |
