16 March 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 16th March [1890]. The girls were all up & ready for morning church & Eda played the harmonium. When we came home I sent Nola to lie down & she slept the whole day till dinner time. After lunch I went over to see Mr Malcolm who is not yet well eno’ to be out. Then I fetched Ola to go to afternoon church. Eda lay down & she slept also till dinner. After church Ola & I went to see Css Pisani & stayed there till nearly 7 & had tea with her in her mezzanin. She & Lotta came & dined with us. It was a pouring wet day the first rain we have had for nearly 2 months. | |
