29 March 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 29th March [1890]. Left Venice by 9.15 train. It was a hot day. We arrived safely at 3.30 & went to the Cavour. The girls all went to the Cathedral. Had tea & then went with Henry to Canzi’s abt some needlework—then to call on Da Mariquita d’Adda whom we found very well—then back to the Hotel. Morelli came at 6 & dined with us at 7. D. Carlo d’Adda & Da Fulvia came to see us after dinner & sat a little while– We went early to bed. | |
