30 March 1890 — Milan | |
Sunday. 30th [March 1890]. Left Milan by 9.50 train– Hot day & views on the S. Gothard lovely. Arrived at Bâle at 8 & got some food there. Found all our servants there on their way to London having left Venice last night. We left for Paris before them. Henry & I had places in the sleeping car—the girls in a 1st class compartment by themselves. | |
